Igudesman & Joo are teaching chamber music and all sorts of conventional and unconventional playing techniques in the festival in Les Arcs/Bourg-Saint-Maurice (Savoie), France.
The festival’s artistic director, violinist Eric Crambes, is a school friend of theirs from the Yehudi Menuhin School.
They will be there between the 20. and 30. of July 2009, with a performance of “A Little Nightmare Music” on the 30th of July.
Throughout the 11 days, Igudesman & Joo will both be teaching, as well as performing classical chamber music. Aleksey will perform some of his duos with Latica Honda Rosenberg and Hyung-ki will perform Brahms Violin Sonata no.1 with David Grimal, and Brahms Sonata for 2 pianos with Yu Horiuchi.
Although they are officially there to teach chamber music, any musician or group that wishes to venture “outside of the box” will be warmly welcomed!
